MySpace sold for $35 million to Specific Media

MySpace is the one of the mighty social networking website, which is now sold by the News Corporation to the Specific Media advertising company. Specific Media is formed in 1999 and one of the biggest ad provides with 170 million unique visitors monthly. Few days before the rumors are MySpace is going to sell for $20 million to $30 million estimation but now it sold more than that for $35 million, however is it below the $100 million price tag. The sale is confirmed by the email which sent to all MySpace employees.

News Corporation bought the MySpace for $580 million in 2005 and now it losing its visitors by the biggest opponent Facebook and twitter. MySpace’s Current CEO Mike Jones also will leave the compnay after 2 months, till that he has to assist the new owners and also AllThingsDigital reports that ‘Half of MySpace’s current workers could be laid off’.
