How to Import Contacts into Bluestacks
Bluestacks is an application which used to run all sorts of android apps on PC. It allows all us to enjoy the benefits of the android app within the PC / MAC. While Doing like that some application like WhatsApp, Viber need contacts to make a call or send a message. Most of you have more than hundreds of contacts. It’s not that much easier to add all those contacts manually within the Bluestacks. There is some file manager application that makes you two to do so. Its ridiculous to install a app to adding contacts, we have simple and easier way.
You can import the contact from the Vcard File into the Bluestacks Itself with the default option in it.

Follow the Instructions one by one in both Section 1 and Section 2.
Section 1
Importing the Contacts Into Bluestacks On Windows
It’s very simple to import the contact into the Bluestacks.
- Copy and paste the V card File in the specific location mentioned below.
C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\UserData\SharedFolder
- Open the Bluestacks.
- Click on the Settings Button to view the settings menu. From that choose the Manage Contacts by clicking on it.
- It takes you to the Contacts Section. Where you can’t see any contacts at the starting as you didn’t add any contacts.
- Click on the Show Menu Button it shows addition options at the bottom.
- Click on the Import/Export from the additional option.
- It shows a menu and ask for the source from where the contacts to be imported /exported.
- Choose Import from SD Card.
- It automatically reads all of your contacts from the V Card File.
Importing the Contacts Into Bluestacks on MAC OS X
All are same as I mentioned above except the file copying location. For the Bluestacks installed on MAC, Copy the V Card File in the Below mention Location.
- Right Click the Finder Icon and choose Go to Folder.
In the GO to Folder Box, enters the path as mentioned below and click Go
/Applications/BlueStacks.app/Contents/InputMapper
(Note: Only this location available if you copied Bluestacks app to your Application Folder)
- Paste the Vcard File into the Open Folder.
- Now use the import contact from SD card Option in the Bluestacks.
- Change the display Option as mentioned above in this section.
Section 2
How to Show all Imported Contacts for both Mac and PC
- Even though all the contacts are read from the V Card File you can able to see the contacts. If it so you have to make some changes on the contact display option.
- Click on the Show Menu Button and choose Display Options.
- It Shows the display options.
- Click on the triangle near the Email address you provided for sync.
- Make sure that the All Other Contacts options is checked, if not so enable that option.
- Click the Done button.
- Now you can see the imported contacts on the contact page. You can use these contacts for the other application which are needed to access the contacts.

FIRST SAVE and EXPORT YOUR CONTACTS TO PC USING .csv format. Then
Log in to your Gmail account. Select “GMail” and scroll to “Contacts” from the left pane.
Select “More actions” and “Import” from the right pane.
Click the “Browse” button, and then double-click the cvs file that you saved on your pc, Click “Import.”
from there “export” the contacts, it will then prompt you to choose the “export format”
choose “Vcard format” and “export” to folder “My Documents”..
now open “bluestacks” and go to “settings” and click on “manage contacts”.
now click on the “menu lines” and choose “import export” option.
now choose “import from SD Card” it will automatically search for vc cards
then it shall prompt u to choose “vc file”
choose “import all vc files” it will automatically store your contacts..
there you go!
This alternate method may work.
for mac users, use “Documents” folder instead of “My Documents”

I have sony ericsson elm phone. In my phone contacts there is an option for “Send all contacts via Bluetooth”. I’ve send all contacts via Bluetooth to my PC and there is a “vcard file” with name “whole phonebook” saved in my PC in (My documents -> Bluetooth Folder).
After that I’ve open BlueStacks -> Whatsapp and Import contacts via option “Import from SD card” and automatically all contacts uploaded.
I hope its simple and works for everyone.

Such lengthy procedures are not required.
Just copy your folder with all the contacts in it to “My Documents” folder.
Next go to Bluestacks, and navigate to Import contacts.
Here choose d source as SD card. Choose whether you wish to add single or multiple contacts. Click Done. Thats it…..

There is no user data folder in my pc’s bluestack folder. What to do??
There must be UserData folder inside the ProgramData folder of Bluestack. If you not sure, Check the comments section for alternate methods of adding contacts into Bluestack.
but in my pc user data folder is not here window xp

Thanks for your help, but my Bluestack (beta-1 version and Win7 64bit) has not “Manage contacts” and “Sound”!

my bluestacks after selecting the option of import from sd card its just searching and searching for hours, i ve pasted my Vcard files in My documents as well as in bluestack shared folder…. but it isnt working….
Hi. Well I’ve been trying to add contacts to Whapp for many hours now. No effect or so ever. I’m by Contacts to choose Import/Export. But none of these option buttons work. There it all ends. So no SD option etc. to choose from. No Import at all.
What is the problem with BlueStacks Version 0.3.6 (0.3.6.102)/WhatsApp on a ’07 MacBook Pro SR running OSX Snow Leopard in 64 bit mode?
Ow by the way, before this version was running, I had to delete an older version because it gave troubles with this one.

if you have other android mobile then dowload zootta contact from play store. then save your all contacts on zootta. then .. open bluestack and again go to playstore and download zootta contact. now retrieve your all contacts.. now check your bluestack contacts … good luck

I have installed Bluestacks on my PC and have also installed Bluestacks cloud connect. it is showing 3 boxes which can’t be typed in, with a login button below. And below it is “To get your pin, click on cloud connect in bluestacks app player for pc…..” i also can’t find”manage contacts” under “setttings”. what am I doing wrong?
i was tired to import contact in blues-tack from g mail i try a lot of different way. but i can’t .
finely i did it.
1 open gmail in computer browser.
2 export contact in v card format file.
3 Copy to blue-stack sd card folder.
4. open contacts and import from SD card.
if u cant find your sd card folder. the follow. next step.
3. compose mail to your email account which is added in blue-stack. and attach Contact Vcard file.
4. open your mail in blue stack and download contact vcard file.
5. open contact Vcard file and it will be auto extract to ur contacts
